SELOUS (NYERERE NATIONAL PARK) 5DAYS/4NIGHTS

Currently Nyerere National Park, it was formerly known as Selous Game Reserve, having a relatively undisturbed virgin bushes with a diverse range of wildlife which roams freely across the varied habitats and terrain. This beautiful park has the highest giraffe population hence nicknamed the “Giraffic Park”. Being large in size with its lakes and the Rufiji rivers gives one a golden opportunity which takes you close to the untamed crocodiles and hippopotami, the park is also rich in bird’s species with over 400 species recorded making it a good destination for lifers.

ITINERARY DETAILS

DAY 1

Upon your arrival at JULIUS KAMBARAGE NYERERE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (JKIA) DAR ES SALAAM or from the hotel at Dar es Salaam you will be met at 07:00am by a member of DASSIE SAFARIS team who will transfer you by road to SELOUS JIMBIZA CAMP in Nyerere National Park, with lunch at picnic site (lunch box). Enjoy en-route game drive to camp. Enjoy meals and overnight stay at the camp.

DAY 2

After a hearty breakfast at the camp at around 08:00 am, start a full day game drive within the park and enjoy what it has to offer from the diversity of habitats, terrains, wildlife, lakes and rivers, with lunch at picnic site, after lunch do a short game drive, then embark to CAMP Enjoy meals, dinner and overnight stay at camp

DAY 3

After a warm breakfast at the camp at around 08:00am, start a half-day game drive then boating excursion will take place till early evening along Nyerere National Park water bodies, enjoy an up-close glimpse of crocodiles and sloshing playing hippopotami. Enjoy meals, dinner and overnight stay at camp.

DAY 4

After a warm breakfast at the camp at around 07:00 am, it’s a half-day walking safari, crisscrossing the terrain on foot, never get confined in safari jeep often, one unique feature about this park is the ability to go for a walking safari. Walking through the park gives you more than a golden chance to explore the African wilderness sighting both flora and fauna up-close, with this an armed ranger will accompanied the participants throughout your jaunt leaving you with inoubliable memories. In the late afternoon embark to the camp and enjoy the swimming pool, cooling off then refresh.
Dinner and overnight stay at camp.

DAY 5

After a warm breakfast at camp at around 07:00 am, transfer to Dar es Salaam drop of at either airport, hotel or seaport with lunch box.
